Mr. Ryan Richards
CTE Administrator
Mr. Ryan Richards is the CTE Administrator for Dothan City Schools at Dothan Tech. He has served in this role since July 2021. During his tenure, he has worked to grow and improve the CTE programs for DCS. The enrollment for the CTE programs is at the highest levels in recent history and experiencing
unprecedented success. Additionally, we have increased the number of industry-recognized credentials earned by students and added additional credentials offered, so every CTE program provides the opportunity for a student to earn a credential. Mr. Richards is passionate about working with business and industry and training provider partners to ensure the future success of all Dothan City Schools students. Developing quality career pathways and pipelines is an integral part of community and economic sustainability. He hopes our efforts will allow our students to achieve all their goals and dreams.
Mr. Richards was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. He has a Bachelor’s in Science Education from Troy University, Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama in Interactive Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. His professional career
began as a teacher at Northview High School in 2011, where he taught Honors and AP Chemistry until 2016. From 2017 to 2020, Mr. Richards was the Director of Workforce Development for SoutheastAlabamaWorks. Mr. Richards is married to Suzanne, who is a Math Coach for DCS, and they have two children, Caroline and Clark.
